The mission of the Alberta Reappraising AIDS Society is to promote critical discussion of the HIV=AIDS=Death dogma by making basic science available and by publishing the writings of other critics of the theory for a wide audience. The society is always interested in hearing from people who would like to help through volunteering their time, offering their writing or research skills or who wish to donate money to support and expand the work of the society.

  • January 13thOMSJ victories raise humanitarian complaints
OMSJ • Despite 25 years of criminal prosecutions against hundreds of factually-innocent men and women, US and UN officials – along with pharmaceutically-funded gay activists – are suddenly calling for the end of all HIV-related criminal prosecutions. Their demands coincidentally began months after OMSJ began to expose HIV experts as incompetent in several prominent criminal trials. This report explains why…
  • January 12thDeaths: Preliminary data for 2010
NVSR • According to the National Vital Statistics Report for 2010 for the United States the top 15 causes of death in the country do not include HIV/AIDS. AIDS drugs may have helped with some of the top 15 because they can cause cardiovascular disease (#1, #4), cancer (#2), various infections (#3, #9, #11), diabetes (#7), liver failure (#12) and kidney disease (#8 and #13). A diagnosis of HIV can even be the cause of suicide (#10).
  • January 12thStouffville man accused of not disclosing HIV status
Toronto Sun • A Canadian man who, unusually, appears to be of Indian descent, has been charged. By putting a big picture in a tabloid they are looking for other women to come forward so they can up the charges. Like many of these cases the man looks healthy and there is no word in the article about him being sick.
  • January 7th‘HIV was invented as the cause of AIDS to get research money,’ claims radio host
The Daily Mail • In response to the publication of a paper by Duesberg and colleagues in an Italian peer-reviewed journal, the Daily Mail describes a journalist who interviewed Duesberg as a “Christian extremist radio host”. This needs to be taken seriously coming from a newspaper whose website has a lengthy side bar that obsesses over the bodies, and especially the boobs, of celebrities.
  • January 7thPaper denying HIV-AIDS link secures publication
Nature • This paper quotes Nathan Geffen as saying a publication by Duesberg and colleagues in a peer-reviewed journal is, “scientific nonsense and should not have passed peer review”, which is interesting considering Geffen has no scientific qualifications. The title of this article originally used the word “refuting”, but under pressure from pharmaceutically funded lobbyists like Richard Jefferys the word was changed to, “denying”.

  • January 3rdHAART for Prevention: Breakthrough of the Year?
Rethinking AIDS • Many doctors are now saying that HIV-positive people should not be sent to jail because they’re not infectious…if they’re on the drugs. This is based on a research paper that achieved adulation months before it was published that claims that HAART reduces infectivity by 96%. But this paper contains three unbelievable findings. Why did only one of them make the headlines around the world? Why did one of them not even get mentioned in the paper itself?
  • December 30thMan may have infected thousands with HIV
UPI • “Michigan police say they’ve arrested a man who told them he had sex with as many people as he could over the past three years to infect them with HIV...”
  • December 29thAIDS since 1984: No evidence for a new, viral epidemic – not even in Africa
IJAE • “Since the discoveries of a putative AIDS virus in 1984 and of millions of asymptomatic carriers in subsequent years, no general AIDS epidemic has occurred by 2011. In 2008, however, it has been proposed that between 2000 and 2005 the new AIDS virus, now called HIV, had killed 1.8 million South Africans at a steady rate of 300,000 per year and that anti-HIV drugs could have saved 330,000 of those. Here we investigate these claims in view of the paradoxes that HIV would cause a general epidemic in Africa but not in other continents, and a steady rather than a classical bell-shaped epidemic like all other new pathogenic viruses...”
  • December 20thAbolishing routine HIV prosecutions urged
CBC News • Canadian doctors writing in the Canadian Medical Association Journal argue that HIV+ people should not be thrown in jail for having sex without revealing their status but the downside is that they believe people are non-infectious only when they are compliant with their medications.
